Kim's last day of class.

Dark grey clouds promise rain.

A bit of a housekeeping day. Laundry, garbage, other little things. Hot water only long enough for Kim and me to take showers; all gone by noon when a housemate went to take one. Several days now with no mail from Andy in response to my ACPI queries, which leaves me a little bit stuck. Really no traffic at all on the ACPI list. Either everyone is on vacation or there's something wrong with the list...

Spent a bit of time getting caught up with what's been going on in the Red Hat, Linux, and GNOME worlds while I've been away. In a word: lots.

Dark grey clouds fulfill their promise.

Found a way to pay a charge that accidentally went onto the wrong credit card, a card for which we had not arranged ahead of time to pay charges. That feels good; we avoided late fees and such.

Started work on acpid config file handling.

Got a note from Kim asking me to show up with the camera at the math building at 3:55 to take pictures of the whole group. Arrived at 3:55 to find that they had finished early and used someone else's camera to take pictures at about 3:45... Kim apologized petulantly and decided to let me take her out to dinner as punishment. :-)

Kim and I simultaneously decided that walking to and from the Rhijnauwen Theehuis would be the perfect close to the day. It was, too. It quit raining, and we got some exercise to make up for all the calories we consumed. Dutch pancakes are not light. On the way back, we found what we think is the most direct route. It goes through the woods, though, and we would have definitely gotten lost if we had tried to follow it on the way there.
