This dignified cubist building is NE of the Jewish quarter, just south of the Stefanekov Most. The yellow cow sculpture is part of an international traveling exhibition, not a Czech artistic statement.

I have forgotten the name of this cubist building, about a block NE of the Jewish quarter.

The guidebook listed this as a cubist site. I don't know why; the building is obviously modern. Perhaps it was designed by a Cubist architect in his Modern dotage; or perhaps -- as it seems to be an art museum -- that there is cubist art on display here. July 14, 2004; Prague.

This sign is a paragon of letting your artistic principles sabotage the intended use of an object: this stainless-steel sign is all but unreadable. I positioned the camera and have manipulated the values so as to make it marginally readable, and after doing so, I now realize that this sign announces that the building next to it is a permanent art exhibition.
