European urinals are in general designed with steeper sides, unlike American urinals, which are typically flat on the bottom and splash a lot more, as anyone can tell by looking at the floor underneath. This is not of great interest to women, nor, apparently to American architects and engineers, who uniformly seem not to have spent time in the Janitorial Service when young. In my limited experience, Finnish urinals are the most intelligently designed.
