Followup Special Issuance
for a Medical Condition
The Letter of Authorization will specify one of two routes:
- AASI – with some conditions, any AME may provide special issuance
- FAA-mediated – the FAA alone may provide special issuance
Both require a Current Status Report and supplemental medical records proving a reasonable likelihood of avoiding incapacitation.
